| The custom built cabinetry was designed with a hint of "old-world" charm painted with warm white enamel and finished with a coco brown glaze. Tumbled stone backsplashes with inlaid accents compliment the imperial gold granite slab countertops. The island was designed as a contrasting furniture style feature supporting a maple butcher-block counter surface. Recessed can lighting was incorporated into the project in conjunction with under-counter cabinet lights and just the right pendant accent over the island. Hardwood floors with a dark stain and satin finish were installed to provide a warmth and beauty that only wood can deliver. The walls were finished with satin latex paint in a color that enhances the distinct gold tones in the granite counters. The vent hood over the range was concealed in a custom tapered surround with a subtle faux finish over a hand-troweled texture. Refurbished antique mantle brackets were incorporated as accents beneath the hood surround as well as a support for the counter overhang at the peninsula cabinet. Professional series stainless appliances complete the kitchen and provide the client with the tools to prepare gourmet meals. |
